H&R Block Responds to Delay

While H&R Block is well prepared to adjust to the IRS announcement of a delay in the opening of the 2014 tax season, we are frustrated for our clients who are among the estimated 18 million taxpayers who typically file a return in January. With a possible two-week delay beyond the original kick off date of Jan. 21, these taxpayers will be waiting even longer for their refunds.

We appreciate the IRS informing taxpayers of this move now, as it allows us immediately to begin assessing all the impacts to taxpayers and the industry. H&R Block remains flexible in our service to our clients while our tax pros are poised to assist regardless of the delay.
